Angie Pyke (@angieottawastylist), experienced hairstylist and colorist will guide you through the essentials of personal styling—from seasonal color theory and body and face shape analysis to accessorizing with flair. You’ll also explore sustainable fashion choices and create your own style statement.


Skills you'll learn:

- Color Theory: Discover your best colors through seasonal color analysis.

- Body and Face Shape Analysis: Learn how to dress for your specific body and face shapes.

- Wardrobe Audits: Conduct effective wardrobe audits to identify your needs.

- Style Icons: Identify your style icons and draw inspiration from their looks.

- Art Principles: Apply principles of art to understand your proportions, affect your choice in hairstyle/accessories, and enhance your style.

- Accessorizing: Master the art of accessorizing to complete your outfits.


Projects: Hands-on color analysis, body and face shape analysis, principles and details of design and creating illusions in fashion, personal style statement creation, and practical wardrobe audits.


Prerequisites: No prior experience is required, just a keen interest in discovering and enhancing your personal style.


Note: All necessary materials for in-class exercises will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring their own favorite accessories for practical sessions. You will be asked to bring in two outfits to analyze for the second class.
